Christmas 2010

What fun we had!  This year we have had so much fun celebrating Christmas!  We have been to Muskogee, built gingerbread houses and of course had a lot of family fun!  It was really great watching Charlie wake up on Christmas morning and running out to the living room to see what Santa had brought him.  He got a kitchen, a grocery cart and a John Deere Gator for the backyard.  He will LOVE riding around and helping Stevie pick up sticks and who knows what else when it is a little warmer outside.  Until then, he has made me hamburgers, sandwiches, chicken, and we have "sliced" a lot of veggies in his new kitchen.  Melissa and Doug wooden playfood is awesome!  Enjoy the pics...

Look how serious he is decorating his gingerbread house.  He is definitely Stevie's child.

In Muskogee with some besties!  He and Ky Ky holding hands on our way to the castle to see the lights and take a hayride.
The three little ones all snuggled up ready for bed
On the hayride!  We had a blast.
HERE HE COMES!  Running to see what Santa brought him

 I think he is happy

Hope everyone had a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Happy 40th Old Man Niebur

This is what Stevie woke up to on his 40th birthday!  Thanks Marissa and Tommy for the great yard art!

Do you see accross the street they mowed GO OU in their grass.  I love living by college kids!
Charlie wanting to touch the crows, he loved them!

Sleepiest Boy

I picked Charlie up from school Friday and he was so so sleepy!  So when I found him on the kitchen floor with his pillow, blanket, binkie and smurf at 6:10 I knew getting him fed, bathed and in bed would be a struggle!
Then he just wanted to be silly and try to close his eyes and fake that he was sleeping...

And then he was done.

He obviously had a great night sleep!

Game Day Fun

Last weekend we went to tailgate before the OU game.  Charlie had a great time... for a while.  He was pretty tired, and this boy is not one to miss a nap so we didn't stay too long!
Dax is obsessed with Gene Simmons... from KISS.  He is going to be him for Halloween which I can't wait to see.  Dax started his little obsession with him when he saw a Cherry Dr. Pepper commercial, so when my sister bought him a cherry dr. pepper this is the face of excitement!
And Miss beautiful Gracie.  There is just something about this picture that is so beautiful to me of her.
We thought we were going to miss the band becuase CG was ready to get home.  He kept saying "home" "bed" "night night" and crying and wanting his blanks and bink.  The kid knows what he wants for sure.  But as we were on Boyd getting ready to walk home, we got to see the PRIDE!
Then after his nap, he wanted to ride in the basket of the stroller...
He didn't really fit
And then he was a happy boy again.

Cakes, Bows and Baby Saints

So most of you know I used to be crafty... I really did (I even did May Fair! Just for you Erin)  But after years of not really doing any crafty projects, I was asked to make a diaper cake... a what?  A diaper cake.  Everyone said it was easy, and it really was, but I was just cracking up because this is SO not what I do... here ya go, here it is, here is the masterpiece diaper cake.  Ha.  I had the "bow" theme...

The diaper cake was for my bff Kayci.  She just had her 2nd baby girl Mia Kate.  The most HYSTERICAL part of the whole thing was this conversation between Ashley (kayci's sister in law) and Kayci:

A: Lindsi made this
K: Owens did this?  seriously?
A: not without a fight
K: oh, ok that sounds more like her

I did resist a little, but I would do anything for Kayci, so I even made a diaper cake.

And here he is!  My baby Saint.

Aunt Su Su calls this: Cool Dude with Chip.

Happy Day

Our little friend Baxter had his 2nd Birthday Party this weekend.   He is such a sweetie and everyone had a great time!  Here is a pic of the birthday boy. Charlie was calling him "Baxter Bud" and when we were singing happy birthday Charlie just kept saying "Happy Day!"
Happy Birthday Baxter Bud!
Needless to say after swimming, coloring and building some sort of lego contraption with Stevie and Walker this boy was one sleepy guy.  We had a great time and a lot of cake too!  Thank you Lape Family for a wonderful celebration of your sweet baby boy.

Lovie

I have had a love affair with Lovie and Dodge products for YEARS.  They are based out of Muskogee, Ok. and if you don't know about them yet, you should!  Great Christmas gifts, hostess gifts, birthday gifts or gifts for yourself.  Seriously, you will find at least ONE thing that you can't live without.  Here are a couple of pics just to entice you to check out their website, or Facebook page.  We can order them for you at Tulips if you find something for a friend, or for yourself!

These clocks are brand new from them

The koozies are one of my favorite things they carry.  They have a ton of patterns and they personalize them with anything you want.  LOVE THEM.  And every parent knows they need the sippy cup stickers!  Basically I love everything they do.

Who says boys don't need accessories?

Look at those little piggies

Can you tell he has a thing for stocking caps any time of year?  This is Stevie's believe it or not, he has had it for years and wears it every winter.  This winter it might be a fight to see who is going to wear it!

Cobbler's kids never had shoes...

There are MANY great things about living with a handyman... One year we were about to have a party at our house THAT night and he decided to go ahead and make an arch in a doorway because it would look better for the party.  The paint was possibly still wet, but damn it looked good!  There are also downsides to it such as not REALLY getting things done in a timely manner because he is working on other people's homes, hence, the cobbler's kids never had shoes title.  None the less, I consider myself lucky.  Very lucky.

We have wanted to add a living room to our house for a while and the slab has been poured for years.  Stevie was almost ready to start when we started thinking what would work for us better right now... A new living room, or a new laundry room.  We went with a laundry room!  I never in a million years thought I would be so excited for a laundry room, but I truly am.  It will be big enough for our outdoor fridge and freezer, washer and dryer, sink, closet and a workspace!

I was going to apologize about the dirty clothes mess and crap on our washer, dryer and sink... but I'm not going to.  Life happens and this is what it looked like tonight!  haaha!

I will go ahead and say it... sorry it is a wreck!  I went through about a million baby boxes and haven't cleaned it all up yet. OH WELL!  But as you can see our washer and dryer are in our hallway.  The ONLY hallway in our entire house so it is kind of, well, in the way...  So here is the progress of our NEW laundry room

And in true Stevie fashion...

I will show the finished product when it is done, hopefully before December!
