Happy Day

Our little friend Baxter had his 2nd Birthday Party this weekend.   He is such a sweetie and everyone had a great time!  Here is a pic of the birthday boy. Charlie was calling him "Baxter Bud" and when we were singing happy birthday Charlie just kept saying "Happy Day!"
Happy Birthday Baxter Bud!
Needless to say after swimming, coloring and building some sort of lego contraption with Stevie and Walker this boy was one sleepy guy.  We had a great time and a lot of cake too!  Thank you Lape Family for a wonderful celebration of your sweet baby boy.

Lovie

I have had a love affair with Lovie and Dodge products for YEARS.  They are based out of Muskogee, Ok. and if you don't know about them yet, you should!  Great Christmas gifts, hostess gifts, birthday gifts or gifts for yourself.  Seriously, you will find at least ONE thing that you can't live without.  Here are a couple of pics just to entice you to check out their website, or Facebook page.  We can order them for you at Tulips if you find something for a friend, or for yourself!

These clocks are brand new from them

The koozies are one of my favorite things they carry.  They have a ton of patterns and they personalize them with anything you want.  LOVE THEM.  And every parent knows they need the sippy cup stickers!  Basically I love everything they do.

Who says boys don't need accessories?

Look at those little piggies

Can you tell he has a thing for stocking caps any time of year?  This is Stevie's believe it or not, he has had it for years and wears it every winter.  This winter it might be a fight to see who is going to wear it!

Cobbler's kids never had shoes...

There are MANY great things about living with a handyman... One year we were about to have a party at our house THAT night and he decided to go ahead and make an arch in a doorway because it would look better for the party.  The paint was possibly still wet, but damn it looked good!  There are also downsides to it such as not REALLY getting things done in a timely manner because he is working on other people's homes, hence, the cobbler's kids never had shoes title.  None the less, I consider myself lucky.  Very lucky.

We have wanted to add a living room to our house for a while and the slab has been poured for years.  Stevie was almost ready to start when we started thinking what would work for us better right now... A new living room, or a new laundry room.  We went with a laundry room!  I never in a million years thought I would be so excited for a laundry room, but I truly am.  It will be big enough for our outdoor fridge and freezer, washer and dryer, sink, closet and a workspace!

I was going to apologize about the dirty clothes mess and crap on our washer, dryer and sink... but I'm not going to.  Life happens and this is what it looked like tonight!  haaha!

I will go ahead and say it... sorry it is a wreck!  I went through about a million baby boxes and haven't cleaned it all up yet. OH WELL!  But as you can see our washer and dryer are in our hallway.  The ONLY hallway in our entire house so it is kind of, well, in the way...  So here is the progress of our NEW laundry room

And in true Stevie fashion...

I will show the finished product when it is done, hopefully before December!

Cowboy Up

Capes, Cowboy Boots, Ninja Turtles and Superman were staples at our house growing up.  My little brother, Bordy, who is now 27, would dress up EVERY DAY!  Seriously, every day.  Our neighbors couldn't wait to drive by to see what "costume" Bordy was wearing.  It was hysterical, but endearing non the less.  Now... I know that MOST kids dress up, but Bordy really took it to a whole new level.  I think this has been passed down to his nephews.  Dax wears his Army hat daily, and loves to dress up, and then this...

Oh Charlie you are taking after your uncle boo-boo and Master Dax.

I went through a TON of boxes today of clothes and shoes that were given to me for Charlie. I found these cowboy boots and I was sad because I thought they would be too small. For all of you that don't know, Charlie has a size 8 shoe, (which is similar to the size of a baby sasquatch) Well they were PERFECT and he loved them! I had to convince him that we don't sleep in our shoes so we could take them off.
I have a felling that I will be seeing A LOT of these little boots.

F Cubed

F Cubed... also known as Forced Family Fun.
NOT IN THIS CASE!!!!!

Laura, Stevie's sister, came in town last week and it was SO hot that all the girls decided to go bowling.  We had a blast and we had to be a litte silly too.  I am not going to discuss the 2 pins!!!!!
Funny how Laura didn't end up in ANY pictures... wonder how that happend?

After Bowling, we all piled in my car and went to pick Charlie up from school.  We had "loaf" in hand waiting for him and he was a little overwhelmed with ALL of us in the car!
He was just glad he had his pumpkin loaf

Then we had a birthday party for Stevie's dad, Bill.  Happy Happy!

Then Charlie ate his cake

We had a really great time, and as always, the visit was too short.  Until next time Laura and Gary!!!
