Charlie got a bubble mower for his birthday in November, but we just got it out for him to enjoy it this time of year. HE REALLY LOVES IT. He loves bubbles, but for some reason he doesn't care if the bubbles are on or off because he just wants to mow!
Even when there isn't grass...
or on rocks...
MY FAVORITE THINGS
So about every day that I am home, I get the itch to start changing things around or to go out and buy all new things! Who doesn't right? But since that isn't really an option, today I started looking at individual pieces at my house and realized how much I really do LOVE certain things in my house and around my house. Today is the first installment of the things I love in my house.

New Orleans Water Meter Clock
Everyone knows my love for the Crescent City and this is a reminder of the charm and grit of NOLA. This clock hangs in my dining room on a tiny little wall and I really really love it.
After hurricane Katrina, I found this photograph and had to have it. HAD TO! It is a picture of a head stone in NOLA that the heart is cracked down the middle. You can't really see it in this picture but there is a place on the heart that a band-aid was and is now gone. The other is the side of a building in the "Quarter" that says Ginger Mint Julep, nothing says NOLA like a cocktail right? I had LOST both of these pictures and had looked everywhere for them... I was devestated! I was so thrilled that this past Christmas morning, Stevie had them framed and wrapped up under the tree. He had found them MONTHS before Christmas in our outdoor shed and thought it would be such a great surprise. It was... I almost cried.
Stay tuned for some other of my favorite things around my house, and when you get "tired" of all of your stuff, just look around and find even a couple of things that make you happy. You will appreciate it all the more.
